Robert Snodgrass, an unlikely contributor to the forthcoming season?
|
To be honest I had forgotten we'd only loaned Snodgrass to Villa, now he is back in the fold.
Pellegrini has played him in both preseason fixtures to date, against Wycombe he showed all the failings of previous outings shying over when it seemed easier to score.
Does Robert stand a chance of making the cut in our much enlarged and improved squad or are we getting him fit to sell?

I’ve had a few pints of Guinness (delivered from the local) but I’m a bit emotional with this transfer. Seeing all the comments from his team mates just shows how much of a great bloke he is. Always gave 100%. I bloody love him

Couldn't stand him when he first joined.
However his attitude was amazing. Especially upon his return from loan. I'm happy to admit I was wrong. I quickly changed my mind and and had a great deal of time for snoddy. Huge piece of humble pie for me.
Good luck to him.
If only that mardy cunt haller had an ounce of his attitude.

Tough act to follow Payet I had the shits, didn't want him, and had plenty of reasons to not like him - Celt, Celtic etc He got dogs abuse and then it emerged that he was doing all sorts behind the scenes locally with kids and charities and was a top lad, then the pictures of him and Nobes in Spain delivering gifts and support Massive 180 from me and egg on face, bloke is a quality lad to do all that when being roundly cunted Good luck Snodders son - Class Act!

Along with Haller that must be at least £120,000 a week off the wage bill

Did we get any actual money? For the leccy meter? Or just wages off the bill?

Good luck to him I don't think he ever let us down like a few of the overpaid show ponies I could mention. Sad to lose a big character in the dressing room tho

Good bit of business all round, for me. We get rid of an ageing squad player, who's best days are probably now gone and get a few quid into Sullivan's transfer biscuit tin. He'll do well at WBA under Meatloaf as well, probably his type of player.

He seemed to be a great player to have around the squad. Very popular. He has no pace but he is a very tidy player and his crosses and set pieces were top notch. I think it’s a great signing for West Brom with Fat Sam’s percentage teritorial play.

His was great in a way but also a problem in a similar tone. Workrate and attitude but as he got older slowed us down. His dead ball work also started to decline. Good luck hopefully a youngster can fill his place in the squad.

Manuel, I think in our own way we were all trying to say he was good to have around the squad, probably brought the squad together with some of his antics....that's all, I wish we had him at the start of his career tbh but that's just my opinion.

The Exile is bang on... if you actually read what he said.
He's obviously a positive voice and on the club videos he seems to be more interested in the community work players are expected to do - or at least he comes across that way on the club PR.
